Kuwait Drilling Company has obtained international recognition for its HSE management system by achieving OHSAS 18001:1999
certification in occupational safety and health. KDC is the first drilling company in Kuwait to obtain this certification.
KDC's achievement of OHSAS certification reflects the company's commitment to the management of occupational safety and health.
As part of the accreditation process, KDC addressed safety issues that aim to improve control over hazards and minimize associated risks.
These hazards and risks could potentially result in injuries to personnel, loss of productive time and high rates of material damage.
Preventing these occurrences improves the safety and quality of the work place. It also raises the level of productivity by increasing
employees awareness and maintaining a positive team spirit.
Obtaining the OHSAS 18001:1999 certificate demonstrates that the Safety Management System applied is consistent
with the internationally recognized standards.
